Price of retail LPG goes up again

Shawdesh desk:

Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has adjusted LPG prices in local market again on Sunday as global energy prices reached to a record high with a 500 percent surge in prices of liquefied natural gas within a year.

A 12kg private LPG cylinder will cost Tk1259 from now on. This is the maximum retail price.

Energy regulator Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the new prices at an online press conference on Sunday.

The BERC has adjusted the price of LPG due to mounting prices in the world market. In addition, the price of LPG of the state-owned company has not changed as the cost has not changed at the production stage.
